Reminders:

1.  Hot lunch orders are due online by Dec. 2 (this Friday)

2.  We are building elf houses with the preschool class so please send in your extra recycle materials. 

We need cardboard, toilet paper rolls, styrofoam...etch.

We will need shoe boxes to build the houses in as well.

Materials need to be at school by next Wednesday (Dec. 7th).

3. Library books are due back tomorrow for book exchange.

Scholastic book orders are DUE MONDAY!

If you would like to order something for your child for Christmas that you do not want them to know about please send it to me in a SEALED envelope.  I will contact you when the books arrive so that you can secretly pick them up.  :)

   Your child is coming home with an envelope today containing the information you need see their report card online.  Please direct calls to the office if you have any issues getting logged on to see your child's report card.

When  viewing report card you will need to click on the comment speech bubble under PERSONAL GROWTH, READING, WRITING AND MATH  to view subject specific comments for your child.

1. WE ARE SWIMMING TOMORROW.  WE ARE LEAVING THE SCHOOL BY 9:45am.  There WILL NOT be time to phone home for forgotten swim gear so please make sure it is backpack TONIGHT.

Parent drivers please meet us at our classroom at 9:40am.

2. Parent teacher interviews are this week.

THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND FRIDAY MORING THERE IS NO SCHOOL.

11:35am is dismissal time on Thursday.

3. No spelling this week.

4. Christmas gala is on Thursday, DEC. 8 from 6:30 - 8 pm.



Challenge Question

Mrs.Barker needs you to build her a raft to live on the Amazon river.

Her raft CANNOT HAVE A MOTOR ON IT to move.

You need to draw a design for Mrs. Barker's raft.  It needs to be light weight and it needs to be able to paddle without using any kind of loud motor (so you need to think about how Mrs. Barker is going to get it to move).

Extra challenge....design the inside of Mrs.Barker's raft so that she has everything she needs to survive.

You have until Monday to complete this challenge question.

Parent Drivers Needed for Swimming TUESDAY NEXT WEEK.

Swimming from 10 am to 11am

In order for every child to be transported to the swimming pool, we will need to have parent volunteers.  Mrs. Barker’s class will be leaving the school on Tuesday at 9:45 am in order to be at the pool and ready to swim by 10:00 am.   

If you are able to help with the driving please return the bottom portion of theletter to Mrs. Barker by Friday, Nov. 18^th.  You are more than welcome to go in the pool with your child if you like.  You can stay at the pool to watch if that works for you but you can also just drive to drop the kids off and return for pick up time (pick up time is 11:00 am).

12:20pm - 5:00 pm and 5:40 pm - 6:20 pm 

Friday, Nov. 25th

8:00 am to 11:40 am

(Please Note: Time slots for 8:00 am and 8:20 am are not listed on the Interview Sign Up on webpage so if you would like these early morning time slots please send me an email to reserve the time.)
