Pysanky Eggs - Day One

Day one of PYSANKY decorating is done. The kids did a good job working with the traditional Ukrainian tools. The kids worked hard for an hour on their eggs. They did some great designs on their eggs so I am very excited to see how these eggs turn out.

It will take many more hours to complete these eggs but today was a great start to the project.

Huge thank you to my parent helpers today...these projects would not be possible without your help!!!

:)

BABY CHICK EGGS HAVE ARRIVED!

The baby chick eggs are in their incubator home.

We have 3 eggs...

*one with a red dot

*one with a blue dot

*one with a green dot

We color code them so we can keep track of how the eggs are rolling around the incubator and which egg hatches first. This hatch is exciting because we have some "American" chick eggs that could possibly hatch with spotted bodies. It will be exciting to see what these chicks look like when they come out to see the world.

We will be tracking the eggs over the next few days. Hoping for a hatch on Tues afternoon or Wednesday.

Let's hope that these little chicks stay in their eggs until the kids are at school so they can see them all hatch! Please make sure to ask your kids a lot about what is happening at the school.

A letter about "chick city" on April 21 is coming home with your child today!
