Winter Gear for Recess

This is great weather to be playing in the snow. It is PERFECT snowman and snowfort building snow.
However, with that being said, kids need to come to school with appropriate clothing to be playing in snow. Several students are coming in soaking wet and having to sit in wet clothes during class.
Please make sure that your child is coming to school with all the appropriate winter gear if they are going to be playing in the snow at recess time!

We Are Adopting A Polar Bear!!!

Dear Parents:

Our class is studying polar bears in Language Arts. The kids are learning a lot about how polar bears are becoming endgangered.

I am adopting a polar bear on behalf of our class through the World Wildlife Fund. However, there are kids wanting to bring in a small donation to help out with the adoption. I understand their feeling of wanting to help out so I am willing to let them bring in a loonie or toonie for the adoption. They are not to bring in more than a toonie.

If your child is sending in a donation to help with the adoption please send it in a ziploc bag with their name marked with the title "Polar Bear Adoption" before Dec. 18th.

The kids are very excited about the polar bear adoption. It is a great cause and I am so proud of how the kids want to do what they can to help the polar bears. The WWF will send momentos for the kids to keep to show that they helped save the polar bears.

Sincerely,

Miss. C Pickett

Christmas Concert Dress

Your child may dress in whatever they like for the Christmas concert as the grade three classes do not have a set dress code.

We would like the kids to dress nicely as it is a special performance night. A good idea for girls is to wear nice a Christmas dress and for boys to wear dress pants and a nice shirt.

Don't forget to bring your camera!

SPECIAL PERSON

CONGRATULATIONS SHAELYN!
I am very proud to announce that Shaelyn received a special person at the assembly yesterday for being a super star in Miss. Pickett's class!
Shaelyn has a kind heart and a great personality. She is respectful and has great manners in the classroom. Shaelyn works very hard to be an awesome listener in class. She has a very creative mind and is able to write stories with strong imaginative touches. I am very proud of all the effort that Shaelyn is putting into learning her math facts!
Shaelyn, you are a true ray of sunshine! You have a heart of gold and I love how you always try your best at everything you do! Keep up the great work smartie!
Love, Miss. Pickett
